In a bid to allow subscribers enjoy more data value for money, MTN revamped the XtraSpecial subscription bundles and now you can get 6GB for N2000 instead of 4.75GB.
MTN XtraSpecial is not a new new offer as it has been available for some time now and many subscribers have been enjoying cheap data offers on the tariff plan. Before this time, you get 4.75GB for N2000 but now you'll get 6GB data for the same price. That's not all, there are other cheap bundles you can subscribe for when you migrate to the plan. Below is the list.
- 6GB for N2000
- 3.7GB for N1500 and
- 1.5GB for N750
All these data plans are exclusive to the XtraSpecial tariff plan and are valid for 30 days period after activation.
How to Activate
Follow the below procedure to subscribe to any of the plans.
- To get 6GB for 2000 Naira, dial *408# and reply with 2.
- To get 3.7GB for 1500 Naira, dial the above short code and reply with 3.
- And to get 1.5GB for N750, dial the short code and reply with 4.
Note: On some phones you might need to reply with 99 after dialling the code to see the list of available data plans.
How to Migrate
Your first time subscription to any of the above plans will automatically migrate you to the package or you can dial the code and reply with 1.
How to Check Data Balance
To know your remaining bundle balance, simply dial *131*4# or send 2 as a text message to 131. You'll receive a message showing all your data balances and their expiry dates.
